Intermediate Latin course II is here for all who finished Latin courses (covered all morphology and basic syntax), but want to dive in the real Latin texts, bits and pieces from various authors.

The students are able to independently read original Latin texts of various genres with the help of a dictionary. They have broad vocabulary knowledge and deeper understanding of the Latin syntax. They have deeper understanding of the significance of the Roman literature and culture and the ancient European heritage.

The texts and the introductory secondary literature will be provided during the classes and uploaded on Moodle.

The students will be given a particular text to read by themselves at home. At the end of the semester, they will translate and analyze a part of it (oral exam).
