What is the relation between cinema and time? How has the philosophical concept of time changed since the appearance of cinema? The course will follow some of the late 20th century's thinkers in its search to understand how we experience time in the time of cinema. The basis of our questioning will be Gilles Deleuze´s two-volume work on Cinema and Mary-Ann Doane´s analysis on the concept of time in cinema. The courses will be accompanied by short projections.
