Annotation
The course is part of the Master's programme and can be taken only by students enrolled and studying for a Master's degree. We will investigate contemporary literature on the nature of AI and what it tells us about human cognition. We will treat of three broad topics: (i) the nature of intelligence in AI; (ii) the potential of virtual minds and the possibility that we are in a simulation; and (iii) the nature of the technology of neural networks and LLMs.

The course has two requirements: (i) attendance (a maximum of three absences will be tolerated) and (ii) an essay of five standard pages based on the reading and discussion in class.
