Annotation -
The aim of this seminar is to to think through the puzzles with which Theaetetus attempts to define knowledge are confronted in the eponymous dialogue of Plato. We will discuss, step by step, the definitions of knowledge (1) as sense-perception, (2) as true belief, and (3) as true belief with an account.

Kurz může být zapsán jako skeletový seminář (Antická filosofie I) nebo jako výběrový seminář. Podmínky udělení zápočtu jsou v obou případech stejné: (1) pravidelná aktivní účast; (2) jednou za semestr patronát nad zadaným úsekem textu, tj. připravený výklad zvolené pasáže dialogu Theaitétos, podložený četbou sek. literatury a doprovozený handoutem (ca. 2 str); (3) jednou za semestr krátký handout (1/2 – 1 str) shrnující vybranou pasáž doplňující sek. literatury.
