Philosophy en noir.

The lectures will focus on the phenomenon of the crisis in broader context - philosophical (Edmund Husserl, Walter Benjamin, Siegfried Kracauer, Theodor W. Adorno, Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault, Giorgio Agamben) as well as in the broader cultural context (Fantomas, Dr. Fu-Manchu, the popular literature of crime in the first decades of the 20th century, American pulp-fiction and hardboiled school or roman noir). The aim is to identify and to trace the genesis of another type of knowledge, another type of rationality (with regard to Carlo Ginsburg and semiotic aspects of another paradigm of knowledge: the hunter, detective, messenger, witness).
