The goal of the course is to provide a historical synopsis of phonetic sciences in the wide sense of the term (phonetics, <br>
physiology, acoustics, phonology) from the Antiquity to the 20th century, with regard to the internal development of the <br>
discipline, its main representatives and institutions.<br>

Předmět podává rámcový přehled o vývoji fonetických věd v nejširším slova smyslu (fonetika, fyziologie, akustika, <br>
fonologie) od starověku do 20. století, se zaměřením na vnitřní vývoj discipliny, její přední představitele a instituce, <br>
a s přihlédnutím k historii české fonetiky a fonologie.<br>

Ve zkouškovém období nenásledujícím bezprostředně po semestru, ve kterém byl předmět vyučován, bude <br>
vypsán pouze jeden zkušební termín.<br>
