Annotation

Aischylovi Peršané jsou nejstarší dochovanou tragédií, jedinou s „historickým“ námětem. Tragédie proto bývá
nazývána „historickou“ hrou a zvláště v současnosti nabývá její sebereflexivní ponor k základům evropské
společnosti i kultury na závažnosti. Vedle této aktuální roviny bude ovšem naše čtení sledovat také archaickou
strukturu textu, některé intertextuální aspekty i jeho universální otázky po měřítku lidských skutků, jejich smyslu a
zakotvení.
