The course is divided into 2 separate parts: 1. the synchronic part presents the basic principles and terminology of main linguistic disciplines demonstrated on the Czech and Scandinavian languages, 2. the diachronic part focuses on the history of the Scandinavian languages.

Kurz je rozdělen do dvou částí - 1. synchronní část se zabývá lingvistickou terminologií a základními principy hlavních jazykovědným disciplín, jednotlivé jevy jsou vysvětleny na příkladech z češtiny a skandinávských jazyků, 2. diachronní část se soustředí zejména na historický vývoj skandinávských jazyků.

Course assessment methods and requirements for successful completion, grading scheme -
The course ends with an exam (written test) which covers all the theoretical and practical aspects of linguistics presented during the semester.
