Annotation -
The course is a continuation of the practically oriented course Exercise in Corpus Linguistics in the Bachelor's degree. It is more theoretically oriented. Students are introduced not only to the practical use of corpora, but also to the background of their use, methodological issues, etc. In addition to the use of corpora for German (DeReKo) and Czech (CNK) including associated applications, interdisciplinary and interlanguage competence is also developed using the parallel corpus InterCorp and corpora integrated in SketchEngine. Students are introduced to the background and deeper issues of corpus linguistics, and are able to acquire and evaluate relevant data appropriately and use it in their daily lives.
