Annotation -
The communication exercise is aimed at approximately language level B2 of the CEFR. The exercises are tailored to the needs of the students of the year.
The emphasis is on listening and speaking skills. The central focus is on everyday language with reference to cultural topics as well as current discourses in the German-speaking world.
In particular, the aim is to improve listening competence in the context of communication: selective, cursorial and global understanding of the spoken word. The basic varieties of German at standard and substandard level as well as regional colouring and individual differences are taken into account.

Aim of the course -

The aim of the course is to train oral language and communication competence with a focus on vocabulary.

The objective is determined by the lines of the European Framework of Reference for Languages at B2 level: 'The user is able to understand the main meanings of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics; he/she also understands professional discussions in his/her field. Can communicate spontaneously and fluently, so that normal conversation with a native speaker on both sides is possible without much effort. Can express himself/herself clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics; can take a position on current issues und state the pros and cons of different solutions.
