The seminar introduces the fundamentals of phraseology as a subdiscipline of linguistics and develops students’ phraseological competence. It covers definitions, classifications, and subtypes of phraseological units (idioms, collocations, proverbs, set phrases) as well as pragmatic, contrastive, and culture-reflective aspects.
The focus is on practice-oriented tasks and exercises, including regular contrastive comparisons between German and the students’ first language. Last update: Soltani Zaker, M.A. et M.A. (16.09.2025)
