The course is primarily intended for international exchange students during their one-semester/two-semester internship. Grammar Course II loosely follows Grammar Course I and focuses primarily on problem areas in Czech grammar. Its aim is to cover and practise more difficult phenomena of contemporary Czech grammar with regard to the specific needs of students.
Grammatical exercises in the Czech language is a course aimed at mastering basic grammatical means at the expected level of mastery of the Czech language A2/B1 according to the CEFR. The course systematically deals with Czech morphology and lexical units. Czech declension (declension of nouns,pronouns and adjectives in singular and plural) and conjugation (verb classes, verbs of motion, prefixes, perfective and imperfective verbs, tenses) are discussed gradually and in parallel. Practicing basic grammatical means at the expected level of mastery of Czech A2/B1 according to the CEFR. The aim of the course is to practise, consolidate, and systematize the basic grammatical structures of Czech at the A2/B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The course is concluded by a written examination. To receive credit for the course, students must meet the following requirements: mandatory attendance (a maximum of three absences is permitted; each additional absence must be compensated by a written assignment submitted to the teacher or either via e‑mail or in person), active participation, regular completion of homework assignments, successful completion of five continuous tests (''ten‑minute tests / desetiminutovky'' - 10 points in total), and successful completion of the final test (90 points). Students can also earn bonus points from worksheets. Grading Scale (minimum 70% success rate):
