Předmět bude založen na podrobném čtení studií z časopisů Trends in Cognitive Sciences a Annual Review of Linguistics z posledních pěti let (tj. od roku 2019). Pozornost budeme klást nejenom na samotný obsah těchto textů, ale také na třídění informací z hlediska jejich podstatnosti a následné sdělování obsahu těchto studií dále, a to formou prezentací.

Základním cílem předmětu je to, aby se studenti seznámili s aktuálními trendy ve výzkumu jazyka a jeho užíváním z posledních pěti let (2019-2024). Zároveň bude důraz kladen na schopnosti sdělovat poznatky z přečtených studií dále, a to formou ústních prezentací.

1. Přednesení prezentace ke zvolenému textu.

2. Čtení ostatních textů, vypracovávání odpovědí k nim.

Předmět bude spočívat ve čtení a prezentování aktuálních studií pojednávajících o trendech ve výzkumu jazyka a jeho užívání. Na začátku semestru dojde k rozdělení textů k prezentacím. Předběžně se počítá s jedním až dvěma prezentacemi na každý seminář (v závislosti na finálním počtu zapsaných). Každý text si pro prezentaci připraví dva studenti, ostatní si ho však přečtou rovněž a budou mít za úkol předem odevzdat odpovědi na otázky k němu. Začátek semestru bude věnován tomu, jak nejlépe prezentovat, jaké nástroje pro tyto účely využívat apod.
