A comparative exploration of the often apparently similar, but even more often significantly different cultural, linguistic, and literary contents, preoccupations, and vectors of U.S. Romanticism and romantics as juxtaposed to those of Romanticism and romantics in Germany, the United Kingdom, and France during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
