Aim of the course -
Last update: Bc. Andrea Mudrová (24.10.2019)

Students attending this course will be introduced to the main features of experimental psycholinguistic research and will be trained in performing an experiment. The course will consist of the following stages:

  1. Finding a topic of interest and then a gap in the psycholinguistic literature on that topic.
  2. Deciding the methodology to be used to fill this gap and then creating an experiment.
  3. Recruiting participants and testing them.
  4. Data analysis
  5. Writing up of the study in the form of an abstract for a conference.

The teacher will closely follow the students in all the stages of the project, from the literature review to the writing up phase. Most of the work will be conducted during class-time. Each phase will last approximately two seminars.
