Students who actively attend at least 75% of classes can obtain the credit straight away. Others can choose ONE task from the following [1, 2, 3]: [1] A mini-essay (500 to 1,000 words in Czech or English) about a topic of choice; see "FILES" for a sample essay. A brief discussion about it may be required (in Czech, English or Russian). [2] An excursion to Purkyně’s exposition outside Prague (Libochovice Castle or Blatná Castle). [3] Scanning micrographs, depending on current need (max. ½ day). Deadline for "winter" students: 15 May. Deadline for "summer" students: 15 July. TWO tasks may be required from students attending less than 50% of classes. 'Ghost' students who attend only the introductory lecture cannot obtain the credit. Concessions can be granted to responsible (actively participating) students. |
