This course is focused on the impact of communication processes on shaping urban space, drawing on the contemporary semiotic theories related to this issue. In addition, it is concerned with Latour's actor-network theory, Deleuze's concept of deterritorialisation, and finally with Lévi's theory of collective intelligence.

Předmětem kurzu jsou zkoumání, která sledují efekty komunikačních procesů při utváření urbánního prostoru. Východiskem bude přehled výsledků, které v této oblasti přinesla současná sémiotika. Odtud se zájem přenese ke koncepcím, které vycházejí z pojmů sítě (B. Latour) a deteritorializace (G. Deleuze). Poté se pozornost bude věnovat názorům současného teoretika urbanistických důsledků procesů telekomunikace W. J. Mitchella a koncepcím kolektivní inteligence (P. Lévi aj.).
