In our days, leisure and sport represent a space for human life. Not only individual but also societal aims can be followed and fulfilled here. The course stresses social features of these phenomena and gives explications necessary for pedagogical a organizational work with various groups of population.

1. Concepts of leisure, role of leisure in the society, research in leisure.

2. Sport in the modern society, characteristics, developmental trends

3. Particularities of leisure and sport in various social groups, especially in adolescence.

4. Sport participation and ways of its investigation, trends in SP. Social marketing for promoting sport participation.

5. Factors influencing sport participation. Cultural aspects of S and L (Sport governance in the Czech Republic)

6. Sport contribution to the quality of life. Sport and lifestyle. Sport and health related fitness.
