The course will provide a basic orientation in the sources of European culture focusing on the influence of Hebrew writing, synagogue rhythm, interpretation of the artistic expression in material Hebrew culture with a focus on the specifics of the Ashkenazi communities. In the second semester, the course will end with an oral exam. |
