Teaching practice in leisure facilities and/or leisure organizations is focused on the systematic and regular work of particular student with a group of pupils in a selected area of leisure activities. After finishing this course, students will be able to work systematically with pupils in the area of organizing, leading or assisting hobby groups, scout clubs, sports clubs, hobby management, working with children in outdoor schools, in suburban and thematic camps, tutoring primary school pupils or lecturing etc. The aim of the course is to systematically support and develop student competences in working with primary and secondary school pupils in leisure facilities of various orientation and character. An integral part of the objective is the opportunity to become familiar with the character of the interests and needs of pupils outside school lessons, which allows students to be sensitized to understand the characteristics and specifics of contemporary childhood and adolescence. Students will be able to work systematically with pupils in the area of organizing, leading or assisting hobby groups, scout clubs, sports clubs, management of special interest groups etc. Specifically, students will work systematically and regularly with a group of pupils in selected leisure activities. Practical part of the course is reflected and students have to write records focused on each lesson of practical part of the course.

The aim of the course is to support and develop student competences in working with primary and secondary school pupils in leisure-time facilities of various character, as well as to work with children with SEN, adults and seniors.

his practice allows students to gain experience in organizing and providing leisure, educational and recreational activities, to deepen their practical experience in the field of leading pre-school, primary and secondary school pupils. This pedagogical practice is focused on the development of the following competences and areas: application of acquired theoretical knowledge in the field of pedagogical-psychological preparation, development of organizational skills in the field of leisure time pedagogy, development of reflection and self-reflection.

V takovém případě požádá jeho učitele nebo zástupce školy, aby školu zaregistroval do systému na https://zapojmevsechny.cz/doucovani/. Podle uvedeného manuálu se následně také přihlásíte do systému a v nabídce škol si vyberete školu „svého“ žáka. Requirements needed for successful completion of the course:

- the student participates in the introductory informational seminary and the final colloquium (reflective seminary) held at the Faculty of Education, Charles University
- the student fulfills the pre-agreed obligations towards the organization for which he/she works during practical part of the course
- student elaborates (reflective) tasks according to the requirements of the Head of his/her parallel group (see data in SIS)
- the student presents a “Pedagogical diary” – a portfolio consisting of reflections of all his/her own teaching activities, the written description of each of lessons in leisure facilities, and self-reflection

 

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes:
- “The Pedagogical diary” – a set of written preparations of own activities/lessons in leisure facilities; reflections and self-reflection
- “The Evaluation” by a teacher from an “umbrella” leisure time organization who coordinates the student's teaching practice
- completion of tasks in the electronic study support according to the assignment of the of the Head of his/her parallel group
- “Attendance certificate” – the list of lessons held by particular student, certified by the Head of the leisure organization
