This elective subject provides an introduction to psychosomatic medicine and presents the basic elements of bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach, description of emotions as driving systems, rule for family therapy of psychosomatic disorders, functional disorders and psychosomatic aspects of diseases and conditions in dermatovenerology, gastroenterology, of pain, etc. The subject will consists of 2 hours lectures and practical trainings, preferably on Thursday afternoon 2pm with possible changes agreed on the opening seminar.

The aim of the subject is to contribute to the curriculum of medical education with knowledge from the area of psychosomatic medicine, provide examples and to describe principles of psychosomatic approaches in practice.
