Practical course on waste legislation
The programme is comprehensively designed from the scope of the law, definition of waste and its classification, explanation of basic concepts and exemptions for aggregation, collection, storage, waste records to the obligations of generators, facility operators, traders and brokers, producers of selected products, the take-back of electrical equipment, batteries, tyres and packaging and, last but not least, the management of specific waste streams such as construction and demolition waste, biodegradable waste, municipal waste or hazardous waste, including their transport.
V rámci kurzu jsou rozvíjeny znalosti v těchto tématech:
● Definice odpadu, odpad/neodpad, asfaltová vyhláška, vyhláška o palivech z odpadu
● Vedlejší produkty v praxi
● Zařazování odpadů podle Katalogu odpadů a podle kategorie, upuštění od třídění, vyloučení nebezpečných odpadů
● Základní povinnosti původce odpadu, základní popis odpadu, výhřevnost
● Zpětný odběr elektrozařízení, baterií, pneumatik a obalů
● Pravidla pro omezení skládkování odpadu
● Základní povinnosti provozovatele zařízení, požadavky na zařízení pro nakládání s odpady
● Soustřeďování, shromažďování, skladování odpadu
● Obchodování s odpady, zprostředkování nakládání s odpady
● Průběžná evidence odpadů a ohlašování
● Ohlašování přepravy nebezpečných odpadů SEPNO
● Odpady ze zdravotní a veterinární péče
● Nebezpečný odpad: balení, označování, ILNO, ADR
● Nakládání s vybranými odpady (azbest, stavební a demoliční odpady, komunální odpad v provozovně, biologicky rozložitelný odpad, kaly)
The course will be open to corporate ecologists, waste managers, environmental managers or other staff responsible for waste management in manufacturing, non-manufacturing and waste management companies or even government staff.
Knowledge - The graduate is able to:
● Differentiate between waste and non-waste and know the asphalt ordinance and the waste fuels ordinance.
● Analyse the possibilities for the use of by-products in practice.
● differentiate and classify waste according to the Waste Catalogue, including the waiver of segregation and the exclusion of hazardous waste.
● describe the scope of responsibility of generators and develop a description of waste and calorific value.
● introduce the rules for the take-back of electrical equipment, batteries, tyres and packaging.
● introduce rules to reduce landfill waste.
● discuss the responsibilities of facility operators and waste management requirements.
● apply in practice the rules on continuous waste registration and reporting, including the transport of hazardous waste through SEPNO.
● introduce the legislative rules on health and veterinary care waste and hazardous waste management (packaging, labelling, ILNO, ADR).
● Introduce the rules for the management of asbestos, construction waste, municipal waste and biodegradable waste.
Skills - the graduate is able to
● apply the comprehensive knowledge acquired in the field of waste management legislation to practical situations related to the practice of his/her profession
These skills and knowledge prepare students for the complex application of waste management legislation.
