Programme profile:	The workshop is intended for applicants to the Bachelor’s programme in Religious Studies. Its aim is to give a sense of what studying Religious Studies looks like and to help participants prepare for the oral entrance examination. The course combines work with the texts required for the entrance exam with the development of interpretive and communication skills, supported by experiential activities. Participants will practise analysing a theoretical text, identifying its main idea, and considering how it can be applied in practice.

Programme schedule and content plan:	The course consists of one full-day meeting (8 teaching hours) on Saturday, 10 April 2026. Participants will be introduced to the field of Religious Studies, learn why it is worth studying, and get a clear idea of the entrance exam (types of tasks, expectations, tips from current students). We will present the recommended reading and show how to work with it effectively. In a short workshop, we will read a sample text and look at selected contemporary phenomena to try out how a scholar of religion thinks and interprets. This will be followed by a brief presentation of an actual student paper and a final discussion with space for questions about the entrance exam and the study itself. The course is taught by staff and students of Religious Studies.
