The training course "Introduction to Rugby: didactics and Methodology" is intended for all those who want to learn the principles of rugby and its involvement in sporting activities, both in and out of school. The course provides a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of rugby, including playing skills, rules, safety precautions, and training methods for different age and performance categories. Course content includes: • The basic principles of rugby and its importance in sports education. • Playing skills and techniques in rugby include intercepting, passing, and attacking and defensive strategies. • The rules of rugby and the importance of understanding them for a safe and fair playing environment. • Safety precautions and injury prevention when undertaking rugby activities. • An inclusive approach to delivering rugby sessions that respects the diversity of participants. • Pedagogical strategies and principles for effectively delivering rugby activities with an emphasis on fair play and developing personal skills. The course is designed to provide students with the practical skills to deliver rugby activities and physical education lessons successfully. Practical exercises and rugby-themed games will enable students to learn specific techniques and strategies to apply in their teaching practice. The course emphasises inclusivity, fair play and pedagogical principles as crucial elements of running rugby activities to promote participants' healthy development and personal growth regardless of their skills or abilities. |
