| The aim of the education is to obtain a comprehensive overview of the issues of educational counselling, its development in the Czech Republic and the factors that continue to influence its development. To gain knowledge about the services provided in school counselling facilities: pedagogical-psychological counselling centres and special pedagogical centres. And also to provide students with practical knowledge of the issues of school facilities. The basic prerequisite for performing the given specialized activity is orientation in the legislation and the scope of work of an educational counsellor. The aim is also to equip students with basic information about pedagogical-psychological diagnostics and teacher self-diagnosis. In addition, great attention will be paid to the acquisition of methodological and practical diagnostic skills. Last but not least, the aim is to acquire practical skills in the field of career counselling, working with pupils in need of support measures and gifted pupils, developing the communication skills of a teacher necessary for conducting an interview, and creating a safe and trustworthy communication environment.
