Guidelines

Přestože Vojtěch Hynais (1854–1925) strávil značnou část svého života v Paříži, udržoval umělecké styky s Prahou, kde se po svém návratu usadil. Cílem této bakalářské práce je sledovat vývoj jeho tvorby po návratu do Čech, k němuž došlo v devadesátých letech 19. století, a to především v kontextu rozporu mezi progresivností a konzervativností, a zhodnotit její přínos během první republiky. Práce se zaměří na Hynaisovu činnost jako architektonického dekoratéra a grafického designéra po jeho návratu. Dále bude zkoumat jeho pedagogickou činnost na pražské Akademii, kde vychoval další generaci významných umělců.
Despite spending a significant portion of his life in Paris, Vojtech Hynais (1854–1925) maintained artistic connections with Prague, where he eventually settled upon his return in the 1890’s. The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to examine the development of his work following his return to Bohemia, particularly within the context of the tension between progressiveness and conservatism, and to evaluate his contribution during the First Czechoslovak Republic. The thesis will focus on Hynais' activities as an architectural decorator and graphic designer after his return. Furthermore, it will explore his pedagogical work at the Prague Academy, where he mentored notable artists of the next generation.
