Guidelines
Diplomová práca sa bude zaoberať prostriedkami atenuácie (hedging) v akademickej angličtine vygenerovanej jazykovým modelom ChatGPT. Teoretická časť popíše prostriedky atenuácie, predovšetkým prostriedky zamerané na obsah (content-oriented hedges) realizované modálnymi slovesami a adverbiami, a tendencie v ich používaní v akademickej angličtine. Empirické údaje budú získané jednak zo záverov/diskusií článkov v periodiku Journal of Pragmatics, ako aj generovaním ekvivalentných záverov/diskusií z jazykového modelu ChatGPT prostredníctvom špecificky navrhnutého príkazu. Výsledkom práce bude porovnanie použitia prostriedkov atenuácie akademikmi v záveroch/diskusiách reálnych štúdií a v záveroch/diskusiách štúdií vygenerovaných nástrojom ChatGPT, a to vrátane frekvencie a rozmanitosti daných modálnych slovies a adverbií.
Práca bude vypracovaná v anglickom jazyku.
