Guidelines

Cílem práce je ukázat proměnu vztahů mezi Indií a Izraelem od poloviny dvacátého století, kdy obě země získaly nezávislost. Až do konce studené války, během níž Indie zastávala pod vedením Indického národního kongresu (INC) politiku nezúčastněnosti v blocích, byl vztah Indie k Izraeli rezervovaný. Po rozpadu Sovětského svazu a konci bipolárního světa Indie nově definovala svůj vztah k židovskému státu. S nástupem Indické lidové strany (BJP) k moci došlo koncem devadesátých letech 20. století k výraznému posunu v indickém postoji k Izraeli směrem k těsnější spolupráci. Dnes se obě země navzájem považují za důležité hospodářské partnery, zejména v oblasti špičkových technologií, bezpečnosti, ale i vnitřní a vnější politiky. Zvláště poslední vlády BJP (od roku 2014) udržují s Izraelem těsné vztahy. V oblasti vnitřní politiky je spojuje důraz na roli dominantního náboženského vyznání v rámci státu a představa islámu a muslimů jako „jiného“ vůči nábožensky definované národní identitě. V oblasti vnější politiky zase napomohla normalizaci vztahů Izraele s některými arabskými státy. Práce bude rozdělena na následující kapitoly:
