Guidelines
This thesis aims to examine the concept of intersubjectivity as viewed in the earlier thinking of E. Levinas, with the main focus on his work Totality and Infinity. The main goal is to clarify Levinas‘ understanding of the other person and of the way the relationship to the other is built while paying attention to the elements constituting this relationship and certain results that this understanding of the other brings. At the same time, it is important to give an explanation of the subject’s relationship to Being, the phenomenon il y a and Levinas‘ criticism of self-sufficiency and individuality, which directly leads to a need to look for the transcendental in the other.
