| Předložená bakalářská práce se koncentruje na rozbor zachovaných dopisů rodiny Pastonů. V první části jsou krátce sepsány dějiny rodu po celé 15. století od vzestupu Wiliama I. Pastona mezi šlechtickou elitu, přes pobyt Johna I. Pastona v Londýně a spravování rodinných statků Margaretou Pastonovou až po spor o hrad Caister. Dále bude v práci zmíněn vztah mezi Pastony a anglickými panovníky Jindřichem VI. a Eduardovem IV. a jak je ovlivnily Války růží. Rovněž práce porovnává korespondenci rodiny Pastonů s dopisy rodiny Stonorů s cílem vystihnout fungování rodin. Cílem bakalářské práce je rekonstruovat život a dobu rodiny Pastonů, fungování urozených rodin a ukázat jak vnímali svou dobu sami Pastonové a jak ostatní vnímali je. |
