Menstruace je v naší kultuře stále do značné míry tabuizovaná, což se odráží mimo jiné i v jejím označování v procesu komunikace. Diplomová práce prozkoumá, jakým způsobem čeština a angličtina konceptualizuje menstruaci. Práce bude koncipována jako srovnávací studie založená na autorkou zkompilovaném seznamu českých a anglických výrazů, které menstruaci označují. Při kompilaci zkoumaného vzorku bude hrát roli i lexikální status výrazu (na škále lexikalizovaný výraz - okazionalismus). Práce se zaměří na různé strategie posunu významu, především užití metafory a metonymie. Zkoumána bude i stylistická funkce slov (eufemizace či dysfemizace) a motivace užití těchto výrazů místo základního slova menstruace, menstruation (vyhýbání se tabuovému výrazu, humor atd.). Studie bude pracovat s teorií konceptuální metafory a metonymie a s teoretickým popisem tabu v jazyce. Cílem práce bude popsat, jak se tabuizace menstruace odráží v obou jazycích a zjistit, jestli se angličtina a čeština v tomto ohledu nějak liší. Práce bude vypracována v anglickém jazyce. |
