Hypotetická dílna Mistra madony ze Žebráku, jak ji od konce 50. let 20. století konstruoval Albert Kutal, měla sehrát důležitou roli ve formování tzv. krásného slohu, kterému bezprostředně předcházela. Připsání jednotlivých prací jednomu sochaři či dílně se dnes jeví jako neudržitelné, podobně jako pozice skupiny v rámci umění druhé poloviny 14. století. Východiskem mohou v tomto ohledu být myšlenky Jaromíra Homolky, který uvažoval o paralelní existenci několika stylových linií. Diplomová práce se pokusí přehodnotit význam konzervativnější tendence poslední čtvrtiny století na základě monografického studia vybraných děl, představených v katalogové části.
The hypothetical workshop of Master of Madonna from Žebrák, as constructed by Albert Kutal since the late 1950s, was to play an important role in shaping the so-called Beautiful Style, which it immediately preceeded. Attribution of individual works to a single sculptor or workshop no longer seems defensible, as well as the position of the group within the art of the second half of the 14th century. The starting point in this respect may be the ideas of Jaromír Homolka, who considered the parallel existence of several style lines.The thesis will attempt to reassess the significance of the more conservative tendency of the last quarter of the century based on monographic study of selected works presented in the catalogue section
