Guidelines

Ve své práci se věnuji interpretaci biblické knihy Jonáš pomocí strukturalistické analýzy. Konkrétně navazuji na její rozvedení antropologem Terencem Turnerem, který rozvinul Lévi-Straussovu analýzu Oidipova mýtu pomocí modelu narativu jako třífázové sekvence, jejíž jednotlivé části k sobě jsou ve vztahu teze – antiteze – syntéza. Takto pojatou strukturální metodou se pak snažím zachytit, jakým způsobem text knihy Jonáš kóduje nábožensko-etnické příslušnosti, vztah Hospodina k neizraelským bohům, vztah proroctví a psaného textu Písma, vztah lidí a zvířat, trestu a milosrdenství apod. Cílem práce je prokázat aplikovatelnost zmíněné metody na biblický text, případně navrhnout její drobné reformy pro konkrétní materiál. Dále pak vykázat, jakým způsobem text modeluje vztah židů a „pohanů“ a jak to zapadá do poexilní situace. V souladu s bádáním posledních dvaceti let (Zvi, Sherwood, Erickson, Bolin) však nechci klást důraz na politicko-identitární dimenzi, která se ukázala být postavena na problematických a předsudečných základech, ale na vlivy technicko-mediální (vliv opisování a procesu kanonizace na chápání zjevení), případně sociální (kdo byli opisovači/čtenáři?).
