Diplomová práce bude zkoumat anglickou existenciální konstrukci there is/are a její překladové ekvivalenty. Existenciální konstrukce s there patří k základním prostředkům vyjadřování prezentace nového jevu (je to typická forma tzv. prezentační škály).
There is no post office in the village. = Ve vsi není pošta.), mít (např. The village has no post office. Na základě 200 příkladů existenciálních konstrukcí there is/are (excerpovaných z paralelního česko-anglického korpusu InterCorp) bude provedena syntakticko-sémantická analýza anglických vět a následně budou identifikovány jejich české překladové protějšky. V rámci syntakticko-sémantické analýzy budou příklady rozděleny na čtyři základní typy: existenciální, existenciálně-lokativní, modální a dějový. Práce si dále klade za cíl ověřit, v kterých případech je možné existenciální konstrukci there is/are nahradit pomocí have beze změny rozdílu, popř. popsat faktory ovlivňující alternativní vyjádření pomocí have. Práce bude vypracována v anglickém jazyce. |
