| Diplomová práce na téma „Právní a ekonomické aspekty přímých zahraničních investic s přihlédnutím k Tchaj-wanu“ se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí, které jsou rozdělené do osmi kapitol. V práci jsou využity metody analýzy sekundárních zdrojů, syntézy a komparace. Práce vychází především z domácí i zahraniční odborné literatury, zahraniční právní úpravy, z dokumentů a údajů mezinárodních organizací uveřejňovaných na jejich webových stránkách, z odborných článků, učebnic a ekonomických studií.
V první části se práce ve čtyřech kapitolách zabývá obecně problematikou přímých zahraničních investic, a to z právního i ekonomického hlediska. Práce čtenáře seznámí s definicemi investice a investora, povahou a významem investic, se standardy zacházení s investicemi a v neposlední řade s jejich právní úpravou. Cílem této části je vytvořit celistvý přehled o různých aspektech ochrany přímých zahraničních investic, který poskytne ucelený náhled do této problematiky. Ve druhé prakticky zaměřené části se práce zabývá analýzou přímých zahraničních investic na Tchaj-wanu. Zkoumá především tchajwanské investiční prostředí, jeho pozitiva, negativa, právní úpravu přímých zahraničních investic a dále také vývoj a charakteristiku tchajwanské ekonomiky. Práce odpovídá na otázku, proč a v jakém odvětví se vyplatí investovat na Tchaj-wanu. Téma této práce je v dnešní době aktuální, zejména protože je Tchaj-wan velmi atraktivní destinací pro realizaci investic a dále z důvodů velmi dobrých politických i obchodních česko-tchajwanských vztahů. Z pohledu investování je však ze strany České republiky tato destinace opomíjena, i přes velmi aktivní tchajwanskou politiku podpory přímých zahraničních investic. |

| The thesis on "Legal and Economic Aspects of Foreign Direct Investment with Reference of Taiwan" consists of two main parts, which are divided into eight chapters. The thesis uses the methods of secondary source analysis, synthesis, and comparison. The thesis is mainly based on domestic and foreign literature, foreign legislation, documents and data of international organizations published on their websites, academic articles, textbooks, and economic studies.
The first part of the thesis deals with the general issue of foreign direct investment in four chapters, both from the legal and economic points of view. The thesis introduces the reader to the definitions of investment and investor, the nature and meaning of investment, the standards of treatment of investment, and, last but not least, its legal regulation. This section aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the various aspects of foreign direct investment protection, which will provide a well-rounded insight into this subject. In the second practically oriented part, the thesis analyses foreign direct investment in Taiwan. In particular, it examines Taiwan's investment environment, its positives, negatives, the regulation of foreign direct investment, as well as the development and characteristics of the Taiwanese economy. The thesis answers the question of why and in which sector it is worthwhile to invest in Taiwan. The topic of this thesis is nowadays relevant, especially because Taiwan is a very attractive destination for investment and because of the very good political and trade Czech-Taiwanese relations. However, this destination is overlooked by the Czech Republic in terms of investment, despite the very active Taiwanese policy of promotion of foreign direct investment. |
