Guidelines

Tato práce se zabývá srovnáním tří zakládacích národních mýtů z odlišných socio-kulturních prostředí, kterými jsou biblická tradice exodu Židů a zábor Země zaslíbené, putování Aeneovo a položení základů budoucího Říma, a migrace Mexiků z mytické domoviny Aztlanu do Mexického údolí. Při zkoumání se zaměřím především na ty motivy a struktury, jež se vyskytují ve všech třech příbězích, a které mají mimo jiné politický charakter či potenciál (zaslíbená země, vyvolení lidu, odstranění „slabých článků“ etc.). Tyto motivy budou zkoumány právě prizmatem jejich využitelnosti při prosazování příslušné oficiální národní ideologie a hodnot státu. Výstupem by neměl být univerzální klíč k porozumění všem „migračním mýtům“, ale spíše poukázání na obecné principy, jimiž mohou různé národy ve svých příbězích legitimizovat své nároky a svou existenci.
