Guidelines

Bakalářská práce se zaměří na frázová slovesa, tedy slovesa s adverbiální částicí (Quirk et al.,1995: 1150). V literatuře je popisována významnější četnost v mluveném jazyce a beletrii než v akademických textech (Biber et al. 1999: 408). Cílem práce je na základě korpusových dat zjistit, jestli mluvená akademická angličtina vykazuje v užití sloves podobnost spíše s mluveným obecným jazykem nebo s psaným akademickým registrem. Práce bude vycházet ze seznamu nejčastějších frázových slovesech v daných třech registrech (za užití korpusů Spoken BNC2014, BAWE a BASE). Budou zkoumány jak formální, tak sémantické rozdíly mezi slovesy. Následně budou ze seznamu založeného na korpusu BASE vybrána dvě polysémní frázová slovesa, která se vyskytují zároveň ve Spoken BNC2014 a bude provedena analýza zastoupení jednotlivých významů na základě jejich výskytu v kontextu.

Práce bude vypracována v anglickém jazyce.
