| Cílem práce je analyzovat groteskní znetvoření archetypu jižanské krásky v současném díle Gillian Flynnové nazvaném Sharp Objects (Ostré předměty). Úvodní kapitoly budou historické a literárně historické povahy (pojednají o kultuře amerického Jihu a jejím zachycení v literatuře), literárně teoretické povahy (zvolí si vhodné definice archetypu, gotiky a grotesky) a feministické povahy (nastíní snahy současných feministek o nové interpretace genderu a zejména ženských hrdinek s důrazem na postavu jižanské krásky).
Následovat bude praktická část, v níž budou podrobně rozebrány postavy matky a dcery z vybraného díla (vzhledem k tomu, že ještě není kanonické, a tudíž konkrétní relevantní sekundární zdroje v zásadě ještě neexistují, opírat se bude zejména o metodu "close reading"). Z psychologického hlediska bude podrobněji pojednáno o tzv. Munchausen by Proxy syndrome. V závěru se autorka pokusí určit místo daných dvou jižanských krásek v tradici jižanské literatury. |
