Guidelines

Diplomová práce zanalyzuje genezi problematiky anglo-skotské unie. Úvodem krátce zmíní události od konce anglické občanské války roku 1651 až po smrt Karla II. v letech 1685. Práce se bude podrobněji věnovat genezi anglo-skotských vztahů a politickým i dějinným událostem Anglie od katolického krále Jakuba II. Stuarta, jeho vyhnáním roku 1688 a následným nástupem jeho synovce i zetě Viléma III. Oranžského, s manželkou Marií II. Stuartovnou. Poté královnou Annou, která se stala následnicí roku 1702, jako druhá dcera Jakuba II., za jejíž vlády došlo k unii a vzniku Velké Británie, až po její smrt v roce 1714 a nástup vlády Hannoverské dynastie. Práce také samozřejmě neopomene soustředit svou pozornost na příčiny a okolnosti, které vedly ke sblížení Angličanů a Skotů, a následnému uzavření Anglo-skotské unie roku 1707. V neposlední řadě přirozeně zanalyzuje i důsledky tohoto spojení pro budoucí vývoj Velké Británie.
