Guidelines |
Bakalářská práce bude zkoumat syntaktické funkce adverbia absolutely. Absolutely je adverbium vyjadřující vysokou, respektive nejvyšší možnou míru nějaké vlastnosti, a typicky se užívá jako příslovečné určení míry (ve spojení se slovesy) nebo intenzifikační modifikátor. Jako intenzifikační modifikátor se vyskytuje především ve spojení se stupňovatelnými adjektivy a adverbii, ale může modifikovat i jiné slovní druhy, např. zájmena a substantiva. (Quirk et al. 1985, Aijmer 2016). Kromě toho může absolutely zastávat také funkci krátké neverbální odpovědi na pomezí elipsy vyjadřující důrazný souhlas, což je typické pro neformální mluvený jazyk, nebo může vyjadřovat jistotu či vysokou míru přesvědčení o pravdivosti dané výpovědi. Práce bude mít dva hlavní výzkumné úkoly: i. ověřit distribuci syntaktických a pragmatických funkcí adverbia absolutely, ii. prozkoumat překladové ekvivalenty absolutely v závislosti na jeho syntaktické a pragmatické funkci. Metodologicky se bude analýza opírat o 100-150 příkladů absolutely získaných pomocí paralelního korpusu InterCorp. Práce bude vypracována v anglickém jazyce. |
