Guidelines

Tato diplomová práce je inspirována výzkumem Cédrica Magnifica a Barta Defrancqa z Univerzity v Ghentu „Impoliteness in interpreting: A question of gender?“, která se zabývá analýzou převodu mluvních aktů ohrožujících tvář v původních francouzských projevech z Evropského parlamentu tlumočených simultánně do angličtiny a nizozemštiny. Cílem práce je tedy kontrastivní analýza mluvních aktů ohrožujících tvář v původních projevech španělských řečníků na plenárních zasedáních Evropského parlamentu a jejich převodu při simultánním tlumočení do češtiny a angličtiny. Studie vychází z následujících předpokladů: (1) Tlumočník je neutrálním účastníkem konverzace, kterou zprostředkovává, a neměl by do ní nijak zasahovat; (2) Tlumočníci Evropského parlamentu tvoří komunitu, která je vázána obecně platnými pravidly a normami, jež musí respektovat a řídit se jimi; (3) Při tlumočení hrají důležitou roli i společenské a kulturní zvyklosti, které mohou vést tlumočníky v případech mluvních aktů ohrožujících tvář ke zmírnění či neutralizaci takových aktů. Analýza tlumočnických výkonů ze španělštiny do dvou jazyků, tj. angličtiny a češtiny, umožní zjistit, zda kulturní zvyklosti spojené s daným jazykem vedou tlumočníky k výraznějšímu zmírnění/neutralizaci mluvních aktů ohrožujících tvář či nikoli. Rovněž se zaměříme na to, jakou roli při zmírňování/neutralizaci zkoumaných mluvních aktů hraje pohlaví tlumočící osoby (srov. Magnifico a Defrancq 2016).
