Guidelines
Diplomní práce se zaměří na vnímání prostoru, krajiny a přírody v anglických cestopisných pramenech 18. století. Autor bude porovnávat obraz několika různých hornatých oblastí – cílových destinací cestovatelů, a to jak na Britských ostrovech (Skotská vysočina, Wales, irská pohoří), tak na evropském kontinentu (alpské oblasti), který je v cestopisech podán. Hlavním cílem práce bude zjistit, jakými faktory bylo toto vnímání ve sledovaném období ovlivněno: jednalo se jen o obecné kulturní trendy a estetické ideály v kontextu osvícenství či preromantismu, nebo se do obrazu jednotlivých oblastí promítly také mocenské, politické a sociální okolnosti, vyplývající např. z dobového vzájemného vztahu cestovní destinace a mateřské země autorů?
