Guidelines

Na začátku Nové říše se začal objevovat nový typ funerálních textů. Jednalo se o Podsvětní knihy a Knihy mrtvých (původně nazývány Vycházení do dne), které měly zajistit cestu zesnulého do zásvětí a následně jeho proces znovuzrození. Metaforicky tato cesta kopírovala putování slunečního boha zásvětím, jeho souboje s nástrahami a nebezpečími, které budou pro mou práci klíčovým tématem, a nakonec jeho návrat do dne – paralelní se znovuzrozením. K tomu, aby zesnulý překonal toto kritické období a stal se Achem, byla v knihách mrtvých řada zaklínadel a jmen nebezpečných démonů a protivníků, které bylo potřeba znát k jejich zdolání. Práce bude stavět na teorii Arnolda Van Gennepa a Mary Douglas. Zaměřím se především na Kapitoly 31 až 42 Knihy mrtvých, které se zabývají právě odvrácením zlých sil a agresorů.
