| Autor se bude zabývat vojenskými taženími a osobností Arthura Wellesleyho, prvního vévody z Wellingtonu v letech 1808–1815. Jedná se především o válku ve Španělsku a Portugalsku a následné boje, včetně bitvy u Waterloo. Jak název napovídá, tažení a vévodova osobnost budou zkoumány především z britského úhlu pohledu. Hlavním pramenem proto bude značně rozsáhlá dochovaná korespondence samotného Wellingtona. K dokreslení vévodova „obrazu“ a vnímání jeho tažení britskou společností pak poslouží studium korespondence, děl a pamětí významných osobností a politiků vyjadřujících různorodé postoje směrem k vévodovi. Dalším důležitým pramenem budou dopisy vojáků, kteří pod Wellingtonem sloužili a kteří mu mimo jiné dali i přezdívku „Náš Atty“. |
