Guidelines
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to carry out a contrastive interlanguage analysis of advanced learner English of speakers with L1 Spanish, and more specifically errors these learners commit when referring to the past. The theoretical part will provide a brief description of the linguistic means which English employs to refer to the past. The data for the practical part will be drawn from a selection of 25–30 speakers from the Spanish subcorpus of LINDSEI. The errors will be tagged, analysed and the result compared to similar studies of Czech advanced learners of English.
