Bakalářská práce podá korpusově stylistickou analýzu románu J.D. Salingera The Catcher in the Rye (Kdo chytá v žitě). Výchozím bodem analýzy bude frekvenční seznam slov a klíčová slova. Referenční korpus, na jehož pozadí budou klíčová slova identifikována, budou tvořit dnešní romány určené stejné věkové skupině mladých čtenářů jako Salingerův román a psané podobnou formou (neformální americká angličtina, vyprávění v první osobě, převaha monologu hlavního hrdiny). Autorka analyzuje frekvenční seznam románu The Catcher in the Rye a moderních románů (zejména kolokace a n-gramy). Dále se zaměří na klíčová slova (pozitivní i negativní) ve zkoumaném románu na pozadí románů moderních. Popíše jak tzv. ‚aboutness words‘, tak lexikální a gramatické stylové indikátory. Podrobná analýza frekventovaných a klíčových slov by měla ukázat rysy typické pro jazyk zkoumaného románu a jejich funkci v textu. Zároveň by se mělo ukázat, zda se rysy tohoto typu románu se za posledních šedesát let změnily a případně jaké změny v jazyce mohou reflektovat. |
