Guidelines

Kaligrafické motivy mají svébytné postavení v islámské umělecké tvorbě. Cílem práce je prozkoumat nápisy v arabském písmu na kovových předmětech (zejména nádobách) pocházejících z Blízkého východu, určit jejich umělecký, duchovní i praktický význam v kontextu daného předmětu a pokusit se o epigrafickou typologizaci nápisů. Práce představí místo nápisů v rámci islámské kovodělné tvorby a konkrétně se bude věnovat přepisu, rozboru a popisu nápisů na kovových předmětech z předovýchodních sbírek Náprstkova muzea.
