Guidelines

Práce si klade za cíl prozkoumat kultické užití alkoholických nápojů v náboženství severozápadních semitů ve starověké Sýrii. Časově tedy sledujeme přibližně období třetího až prvního tisíciletí př. n. l. Postupovat bychom měli co možná nejvíce chronologicky a geograficky. Výsledkem tedy budou pouze kusé a roztroušené informace, ze kterých se, dle jejich charakteru, závěrem pokusíme buď vyextrahovat synchronní pohled na danou problematiku, nebo postihnout změny, které v kultu v průběhu celého sledovaného období nastávaly. Mimo samotný kult – a to včetně magického, terapeutického a profétického užití – se pokusíme vystopovat percepci bohoslužebného využití fermentovaných nápojů také ve starosyrské epice a mytologii. Práce by neměla mít pouze charakter dějinně náboženský, ale pokusí se dané jevy také interpretovat, a to především z antropologického hlediska (základním východiskem budou teze M. Douglas, V. Turnera a E. Leache).
