| Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem (ne)rovnoprávnosti žen a mužů v České republice. Hlavním cílem je analyzovat současný stav nerovnosti mezi pohlavími v různých oblastech, jako jsou práce, rodinný život a politika. Práce se zaměřuje na identifikaci příčin a důsledků těchto nerovností, jakož i na polemiku, zdali a do jaké míry jsou tyto nerovnosti zapříčiněny přirozenými biologickými rozdíly mezi mužem a ženou anebo vlivem nežádoucích stereotypních sociálních konstruktů. Práce dále zkoumá, jakou úlohu má právo ve vztahu k nápravě genderové nerovnosti.
V první části práce jsou představeny klíčové pojmy a teorie týkající se genderové rovnosti a nerovnosti. V druhé části je popsán vývoj právní úpravy rovnosti žen a mužů v rámci mezinárodní-ho, evropského i vnitrostátního práva. Třetí část práce je založena na analýze dat z různých zdrojů, jako jsou statistické údaje a průzkumy veřejného mínění. V této části jsou podrobně popsány různé aspekty nerovnosti mezi ženami a muži, včetně rozdílů v příjmech, péče o děti, zastoupení v politice a genderové segregace. Jsou také zkoumány sociální a kulturní faktory, které významným způsobem ovlivňují genderovou rovnost a svou podstatou stojí mimo právo. |
| Preliminary scope of work in English |
| This thesis critically examines the current state of gender inequality in the Czech Republic with a focus on work, family life, and politics. The main objective is to identify the causes and consequences of these inequalities, and to evaluate whether and to what extent they are due to natural differences between men and women or to the influence of social constructs. Additionally, the role of law in relation to the redress of gender inequality is explored.
The theoretical part of the thesis provides an overview of key concepts and theories related to gender equality and inequality, as well as a discussion of the development of gender equality legislation within international, European, and national law. In the empirical part of the thesis, a comprehensive analysis of various sources, including statistical data and opinion polls, is conducted to provide detailed insights into gender inequality in the Czech Republic. This analysis covers multiple areas, including income disparities, childcare responsibilities, political representation, and vertical and horizontal segregation. Furthermore, the thesis examines the social and cultural factors that significantly influence gender equality, which often fall outside the purview of legal frameworks. |
