Guidelines |
Bakalářská práce prozkoumá adverbia, která premodifikují adjektiva a intenzifikují jejich význam. Třída intenzifikátorů bude vymezena na základě velkých mluvnic angličtiny, zejména Quirk a kol. (1985) a Biber a kol. (1999). Pro nedostatek volně dostupných korpusů autentické neformální mluvené britské angličtiny bude materiál čerpán z dialogů současných populárních britských televizních seriálů. Pro potřeby práce vytvoří autorka korpus vhodných textů. Analýza se zaměří na frekvenci jednotlivých intenzifikátorů, jejich kolokace (sémantické preference) a případně sémantickou prozodii. Bude popsáno syntaktické okolí intenzifikátoru (stavba adjektivní fráze, syntaktická funkce adjektivní fráze s intenzifikátorem). Pokud to bude možné, budou sledovány i socio-lingvistické charakteristiky mluvčích (pohlaví, věk a sociální třída mluvčího). Výsledky práce budou porovnány s obdobnou studií intenzifikátorů v americké angličtině (Tagliamonte a Roberts, 2005). |
